I feel pleasure in welcoming you to DPSITE. The dream to establishing institute of Teacher Education was seeded in the mind of Shri Dashrath Prasad Singh, Secretary of our trust. He wanted to impart better education with meaningful, quality education to the rural students of economically different background. It is to give mentioned here that the institute is well placed to grapple with the challenges of creative thought and action in a wide range of spheres so as to progressively respond to the emerging societal needs of our country. We endeavour to inculcate in our students the spirit of competitive efficiency, an ability to re- invent themselves dynamically. Our historic and serene campus is located around 10 kilometer in the east of Muzaffarpur.

It is our pleasure to announce the commencement of Dashrath Prasad Singh Institute of Teachers' Education. The college has been established with the view to impart quality professional education and enhance the employment opportunities among educated youths. Education plays a vital role in the life of each and every human being. It determines the excellence of wealth to preserve peace and maintain the progress of mankind. It decides the fate of nation because from these groups only there comes out the statesman, patriot, and educational scholars to determine the progress of education. In relation with this the DPS Trust for institute of Education, Training, Research and Community Development was established with the soul and pious aim of promoting the cause and real and meaningful education.

With the passage of time, education has also changed and everybody wants to give his/her child a good education. School is a temple of learning where students are imparted quality education with latest technologies because school is the right house of the society.

Right education is the key to perfect teaching learning in order to maintain progress in every sphere of life. Education plays a pivotal role and create the right seed bed for culture and character. The aim of this institute is to bring out creative skills of students and faculty to the forefront. We will keep intact the community development progress of our founder and pioneer and have put in place several schemes for keeping the students of the deprived sections of the society. The teacher assumes the role of mentors, guides, friends, patrons and special need based support and counseling.

The pressure in the field of higher education is increasing day by day. We hope those who acquire degrees from this institute will help to raise the intellectual tone of society and this expected of a person who has received teacher education.

With great pride and heartiest delight, I welcome you to DPSITE. About a hundred Years ago, much importance was not attached to teachers' training programme. But now this has become so important that no untrained person is appointed to teach in a school recognized by the government. keeping in the mind the need of professional education for rural students, The trust resolved to sponsor a teacher training college to cater to the need of Teachers' Training, an imperative need of the large number of graduates of the region and to make them qualified to seek employments as well as to provide opportunity in securing post-graduate degree in education and research facilities with the passage of time.

This institute will try his level best to provide congenial environment to the healthy growth of character of the students in the light of the cultural, religious and linguistic heritage of the community. So that they may be able to discharge their national obligation with the imbued quality of heart, head and character, making secular India richer and more glorious. We hope that our teacher educators would put in more efforts in this new session.
